If you have a question on a trim or how
your horse is after I have been out , PLEASE call me, I will come back out to
look at and evaluate any concerns you may have!
I am dedicated to the heath and welfare of
your horse and will work with you on any issues that may arise.
Please remember a pretty trim is not always
the best trim, I trim the hoof "in hand" , it is not all about looks for
me it is about balance and soundness. :)
Hello,
Thank you for considering using my services for the hoof care of your horse.
I look forward to working with you as we evaluate and maintain the care of your
horse’s feet. There is much more to caring for a hoof than just a trim. How your
horse lives, what your horse eats, and the exercise your horse receives will
determine how your horses hoof maintains its health on a day to day basis.
To get to know me better and how I tick, I’ve created the list below for you to
review. My goal is to do the best job that I can for you and your animal, if you
have any concerns PLEASE let me know so we can address them.
1. Please ensure that horses are caught and ready to be worked on at scheduled
appointment time. If this is something you need help with due to amount of
horses, let me know ahead of time, I am always willing to help.
2. Please call prior to appointment time preferably 24 hours at minimum if there
is a change needed: time, date, amount of horses, etc.
I will try to call or e-mail 48 hours prior to your appointment to confirm.
3. Payment is expected at the completion of the work.
4. Please ensure that a safe and suitable area is available for work on horses
as well as an area to escape inclement weather.
5. Please ensure that someone will be present at scheduled appointment time
unless arrangements have been made prior to appointment. Owner or responsible
parties must be present on first appointment.
6. If you have a horse that needs extra training in order to receive hoof care.
I am willing to work with your horse. I will charge a training rate of $20 for
these services plus the charge of the hoof care. (Not to exceed 1 hr, per
animal) If horses are deemed unsafe, I reserve the right to decline work.
7. I will recommend a schedule based on the needs of the animal to provide the
best possible service. Most horses will need to have hoof care every 4/6/8
weeks. If animal’s hoofs are severely overgrown, there will be an additional
charge for extra labor.
8. Please give consideration when booking appointments. I would encourage you to
book your next apt. before I leave. On more then one occasion I have had clients
call needing a trim ASAP, but my book was full. I will always try to fit you in
if I can, but I can not guarantee I will be able to do so.
9. I am proud to
sponsor cedar oaks equine rescue, any and all tips above my set price will go to
this rescue to help with the feed and care needs for the horses at,
